One Day After Historic Healthcare Vote in the U.S. House of Representatives, Unions of the South Florida AFL-CIO focus on the Senate Vote! TWU 291 first to step up!

With Health care Reform vote heading to the Senate floor, the Transport Workers Union Local 291 wasted little time in mobilizing their members and focusing on support for HC Reform with a Public Option this past Monday morning. TWU 291 President Francisco Garcia and Vice President Bryan Davis were joined by Pipetrades International Representative Rick Lindstrom and UA 725 Organizer Javier Garcia collecting signed letters to Senator Bill Nelson urging his support for Health care Reform. Many unions of the South Florida AFL-CIO have scheduled similiar events over the next few days.
